True North Equipment started as a small company in Grafton selling plows during the late 1800s. Then, in 1949, Oliver Gorder and Paul Torgeson purchased the company, renaming it Gorder & Torgeson. Expansion started in 1999 through the purchase of several other dealerships, culminating in 2006 when True North Equipment acquired Pederson Implement in Northwood.
